Did you know that before she moved into steeplechasing, Julie was an eventer? Growing up in Oregon, she moved to the east coast in 1985 to train with legendary three-day eventer Bruce Davidson and won the 1994 Kentucky Three-Day Event with OTTB Treaty. She also race rode as an amateur rider before ultimately moving into training.

Before he was a winner over jumps, Fulmineo was a dual stakes winner on the flatt with back-to-back wins in the James W. Murphy S. and Boston S. (video) This weekend, he holds an entry on the International Gold Cup card in an Allowance after finishing in the top two in all three races he's finished this year.

Today, you're riding along with Sam on Perky as they gallop behind Julie on Retouch on the inside and Amy on Fulmineo at the Middleburg Training Center, which will be closed to us soon.

“We rarely use the facilities at the Middleburg Training Center, but when we do it’s crucial to our program. We pay a handsome sum every month in case we need to use the track, and to have it taken from our and other trainers resources is a simple crime to the community,” Julie said about the coming closure.

Today we're sending two of our youngsters to Foxfield Races Virginia.

A three-time winner on the flat, Perky makes her National Steeplechase Association debut in the second race with Cracking Connor making his third career start (and first over jumps) in Race 3!

Sometimes you just need to jump on a horse and feel the wind in your hair while galloping. We can't give you the "wind in your hair" feeling, but we can give you the jumps and gallop!
