Parkway Dance Centre Our Studio is a one-stop dance centre. We provide dance instruction from ages 3 to 83. Gift certificates are available to give the gift of dance and reconnect.

Parkway Dance Centre owner Sandi OMalley, trained and certified in ballroom instruction for 37 years, enjoys introducing the little ones to dance as well as igniting hidden passion again with dance lessons for the empty nesters. In 2013, the City of Middleburg Heights Department of Economic Development worked with Parkway Dance Centre to retain the studio in Middleburg Heights in a new location to accommodate growth. The music is on, the dance bags are packed, and the studio is finally full of the people who make it Parkway.

And while we love the dancing, the choreography, the costumes and everything that comes with a new season…

What we love most is watching our dancers grow into themselves.

To find their people.
To make memories.
To feel like they belong.
To have a place where they can show up exactly as they are.

✨ WHAT IS MODERN/CONTEMPORARY? ✨

Modern/Contemporary is a style that explores movement beyond traditional technique, blending elements of modern dance, ballet, jazz, improvisation, floorwork, and more.

Dancers learn to move with intention, explore musicality and expression, and discover their own unique way of moving. Classes may also incorporate sculptural partnering and creative movement.

Miss Nicole was a professional modern/contemporary dancer for over a decade, bringing her performance experience into the classroom. ❤️

We’re not normally ones to jump on every TikTok trend… 😂 but since it was the last day of class before our showcase, we figured we had to let Hoop 2/3 have a little fun!

The Kent State Dance major in Miss Nicole has been waiting for this trend. 😂

She learned this choreography in her Intro to Jazz Styles class at Kent State, and her BFA in Dance was just preparing her for this moment. 💀

People often think teaching dance is about steps, turns, and performances.

But the truth is, dance has always been about so much more.

It’s about teaching confidence, resilience, discipline, teamwork, kindness, responsibility, and what it means to keep going when something feels hard.

Very few of my students will become professional dancers, and that’s okay. My goal has never been to create professional dancers. It’s to help create confident, capable humans who know they can accomplish hard things.

If dance is the tool that helps them discover that, then I’ve done my job. ❤️

Our holiday performance costumes are here, and we are so excited to see how amazing everyone is going to look! 🎄✨

While Parkway Dance Centre doesn’t participate in dance competitions, we do have performance teams who spend the holiday season sharing their love of dance with our community.

Throughout the season, our dancers perform at local events and venues, spreading holiday cheer and sharing the gift of dance with others. These performances give our students the opportunity to grow as performers while also learning the joy of giving back through the arts.

We can’t wait to see these beautiful costumes come to life on stage and watch our dancers make the holiday season a little brighter! ❤️💚🩰
