*Big Sigh* and a very happy kind of tired. Our last day of Farm Day with the MECC turned out to be super spectacular! With the weather threatening to be a challenge, we were proactive in setting up for the worse. And as the morning unfolded, those silly weather apps once again, well, let’s just say, were a bit, “off”, and we still have to water our gardens!!
Angie Natale, Adriana Huskins, Stacey & Autumn Perry, Janice Silva, & the Balmes’s were all behind the scenes cleaning the barn, setting up, and loading the hay back on the haywagon! The energy level was somewhat quiet compared to the last two days. Maybe we were kind of holding our breath in anticipation of those thunderstorms and foul weather that had been projected, or perhaps the fact we had a smaller team, or just needing a bit more sleep….
And then the buses rolled in, and the cheers & excitement of a hundred+ more children was the spark that was needed!
💥BAM💥
“TEAM PIXIE!” and the infamous ✨TWINKLE✨, the 🦄 unicorn, were back in action! (We hope to see some photos!!)
Farmer Jim manned the tractor & haywagon, and with his keen eyes, spotted a beautiful spotted turtle in the field, and everyone got to see! What a treat!
In the barn, there was lots of baby chicks to cuddle! Janice had her hands full for sure😉🐣
And Angie got to share her story book & tale to eager classes of attentive children!!
And best of all, there were hugs & thank you’s from of the children.
❤️The BEST reward❤️
We created our own lightning and energy, and what a great day it was!!! Until next year, we say goodbye to all our friends from the MECC, and hope we’ll get to see some of the wonderful pictures taken of the day!!
Thank you to all our dear, dear friends who were able to take time away from their daily jobs, school, families, and lives, to selflessly volunteer to make this such a wonderful and unique event!! Love you all❤️
