Today’s adventure was ponying on the bogs and getting tick collars around his pasterns. Lots to work on with the ponying but the attempt was 80% successful. Tick collars were a success after a brief discussion on how we handle picking up the back feet.

Aladdin practiced holding up his feet for the farrier and even allowed me to put on hoof conditioner. After a quick grooming we went for a stroll around the bogs. Remember how bad his teeth were? Well his mouth is all healed and he can happily graze on even short grass now.

Kadee has decided she needs to be in charge when running barrels and is highly offended when being directed the correct way to go. Her solution is to hop in the canter on the run home. She’s definitely having fun being allowed to open up a little.
