If you don't know me yet, my name is Allison Dawson and I'm the owner/operator of Dawson Divers Ltd. I've been diving since I got certified for a high school marine biology trip to Andros Island, Bahamas in 2011. I immediately knew that SCUBA would play an integral part in my future. Fast forward a few years and I found myself living on Middle Bass Island, Ohio. With more than a little downtime fr
om a certain pandemic, I decided it was the perfect time to take the plunge from recreational scuba to professional. In October 2020, I completed my Open Water Scuba Instructor Certification. I then began traveling a few times a year to instruct gap year college kids studying at the very same field station I visited in 2011. In an incredibly special full-circle moment, I was diving with some of my very first students ten years to the day from my first ever dives in those same waters. I love being able to share my passion for SCUBA with others. It's an amazing feeling to see the excitement on people's faces when they first learn to breathe underwater. And while this may be the basis for why Dawson Divers Ltd. began in the first place, I've realized after living within this incredible community for several years, that there is so much good Dawson Divers Ltd. With the addition of USCG Captain Jon Linhart, Dawson Divers Ltd. is now proud to offer a much broader range of general diving services. We have helped with boat salvages, water intake cleanings, and recovering lost items like purses and phones.
