Congratulations to Bulldog Tanner Mathews!

Tanner is a respectful, kind, and hardworking young man who truly exemplifies what it means to be a student-athlete. As Coach Griffy states in the article, Tanner represents the very best of what being a student-athlete is all about!

Tanner Matthews is this week's Frankfort Pizza King and Hoosierland TV Student-Athlete of the Week. A sophomore on the Clinton Central Football team, Matthews has been a key piece of the Bulldogs' strong start. Tanner Matthews might be my favorite athlete to coach," Clinton Central football co

In honor of Friday’s 9/11 football game, we will be displaying the American flag on the football field during the National Anthem as we remember and honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

This flag holds a special place in Clinton Central history. It is the original handmade flag that was used at Clinton Central 50 years ago during the 1976 Bicentennial celebration.

We would also like to give a special shout-out to Bennii Shore for helping the Athletic Department facilitate this meaningful tribute.

Coach’s Corner | Game Recap

“Tonight is what I want Clinton Central football to be. Hard fought plays and lots of learning! The boys played defense phenomenally well. Offense spread the field just the way we planned! The team worked so well and everyone on staff is proud of our team.”

Coach's Corner | Game Recap
Friday, September 4th

"The headline will be 27-0 but buried in that number is a game that was 7-0 for the majority of the night.

Thankful for the leadership we saw from Shelley, the Albaughs, and Robinson this game.

Speaking of stepping up, freshman on defense including Faulkner, Griffy, and Crider again had flashes of brilliance on defense beyond their years.

I'm proud of the effort of our boys!"

- Coach Griffy

Coach’s Corner | Race Recap
Saturday, September 5th - Marion Invite

“The Clinton Central Junior High Cross Country teams competed in the Marion Invitational on September 5th. The invitational was limited to runners in grades 6 - 8, which meant Clinton Central was unable to compete with its entire junior high roster. In addition to competing against a huge field of runners, our athletes competed against the weather that turned really hot just prior to race start. They showed so much determination and toughness during the race.

The Junior High Girls finished 17th out of 25 teams and 198 runners.

Reese Ferrel – 48th
Carolina Aleman – 89th
Della LaPlante – 103rd
Jordyn Smith – 165th
Reagan Johnson – 168th
Riley Johnson – 180th

The Junior High Boys also finished 17th, competing against 26 teams and a huge field of 274 runners.

Graham Wellman - 29th
Joseph Faulkner - 121st
Gannon Corkwell - 133rd
Carter Lucas - 203rd
Liam Moore - 215th

Special shoutout to Gannon Corkwell with a season personal best – way to go Gannon!!

The Bulldogs gained valuable experience competing in one of the largest meets they will see this season. Additionally, it was great to see several of the younger runners make the trip to cheer on their teammates! Great job, Bulldogs!”
