Foresthill Varsity Wildfires Come Back To Defeat Western Sierra Collegiate Academy

Despite trailing by as many as eight runs, Foresthill Varsity Wildfires rallied to best Western Sierra Collegiate Academy 13-12 on Friday.

Eli Sevester collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Sevester tripled in the sixth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Wang drew a walk, scoring one run, Kwan was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Gao singled, scoring one run, Utzig drew a walk, scoring one run, and Seifrief singled, scoring three runs.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Gao singled down the left field line, and Utzig walked, each scoring one run.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires tied the game in the bottom of the sixth thanks to a double by Stewart Poroshin, a walk by David Silveira, and a triple by Sevester.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy took the lead in the top of the seventh. Riley doubled, scoring one run, to give Western Sierra Collegiate Academy the edge, 12-11.

Regan Robenolt doubled to left field on a full count, which helped Foresthill Varsity Wildfires tie the game at 12 in the bottom of the seventh.

Waylon Gossic pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for Foresthill Varsity Wildfires. The reliever surrendered two hits and three runs (one earned) while, striking out eight and walking six. Silveira started on the hill for Foresthill Varsity Wildfires. The pitcher surrendered three hits and nine runs (six earned) over two innings, striking out four and walking six. Eli Sevester drove in four runs on three hits to lead Foresthill Varsity Wildfires past Adventure Christian 24-16 on Wednesday. Sevester singled in the first inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring two.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires collected 16 hits and Adventure Christian had nine in the high-scoring affair.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to four singles. Foresthill Varsity Wildfires first got on the board when Sevester singled, scoring two runs.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires scored five runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. Joseph Packard singled, scoring two runs, Cooper Isheim singled, scoring one run, and a wild pitch scored two runs.

Adventure Christian scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Bradley Fretland was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Parker Christianson singled, scoring two runs, Regan Robenolt induced Josiah Blackwell to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and an error scored two runs.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires piled up 16 hits in the game. Robenolt, Packard, Poroshin, and Isheim each collected multiple hits for Foresthill Varsity Wildfires. Foresthill Varsity Wildfires had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 18 walks for the game. Robenolt and Robenolt led the team with three free passes each. Eli Sevester collected four hits in four at bats, as Foresthill Varsity Wildfires defeated Adventure Christian 18-8 on Monday. Sevester tripled in the first inning, tripled in the sixth inning, doubled in the second inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Adventure Christian were the first to get on the board in the first when Bradley Fretland drew a walk, scoring one run.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Daniel Boehm Jr. that drove in two.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires scored eight runs on six hits in the bottom of the sixth inning. Abe Robenolt drew a walk, scoring one run, Cooper Isheim singled, scoring one run, Boehm Jr. singled, scoring two runs, Waylon Gossic singled, scoring one run, Stewart Poroshin tripled, scoring two runs, and David Silveira doubled, scoring one run.

It came down to the wire on Monday, as Foresthill Varsity Wildfires grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 12-11, over Foothill. The game was tied at 11 in the bottom of the eighth when an error scored one run.

Bats blistered as Foresthill Varsity Wildfires collected seven hits and Foothill tallied nine in the high-scoring game.

A triple by J Blackwell put Foothill on the board in the top of the first.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring eight runs on two hits to take the lead, 8-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by David Silveira that drove in two.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires added one run in the third. Waylon Gossic singled down the left field line, making the score 9-5.

Foothill scored five runs on two hits in the top of the seventh inning. An error scored one run, C Tobias doubled, scoring two runs, R Meredith grounded out, scoring one run, and X Balderas singled, scoring one run.

Foothill took the lead in the top of the eighth. R Wilson grounded out, scoring one run, to give Foothill the advantage, 11-10.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Foresthill Varsity Wildfires went back into the lead after Silveira tripled down the left field line, and Foothill committed an error, each scoring one run.

David Silveira collected three hits in four at bats, as Foresthill Varsity Wildfires defeated Leroy Greene Academy 12-9 on Wednesday. Silveira tripled in the third inning, doubled in the third inning, and doubled in the fifth inning.

Leroy Greene Academy were the first to get on the board in the first when Gilhooly singled, scoring one run.

Regan Robenolt lined out, which helped Foresthill Varsity Wildfires tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.

Leroy Greene Academy took the lead in the top of the third. Ochoa grounded out, scoring one run, to give Leroy Greene Academy the edge, 2-1.

Eli Sevester drove in four runs on two hits to lead Foresthill Varsity Wildfires past Grant 10-8 on Monday. Sevester tripled in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the sixth inning, scoring one.

Foresthill Varsity Wildfires came back to win despite trailing 5-0 in the second.

Grant opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to three singles. Grant first got on the board when Oswaldo Flores singled, scoring one run.

Grant added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Salvador Robles singled to center field, and Flores doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Stewart Poroshin doubled down the left field line, which helped Foresthill Varsity Wildfires tie the game at seven in the bottom of the fifth.

Grant took the lead in the top of the sixth. An error scored one run, to give Grant the advantage, 8-7.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, Foresthill Varsity Wildfires went back into the lead after David Silveira walked, Sevester singled down the right field line, and Poroshin singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Waylon Gossic earned the win for Foresthill Varsity Wildfires. The left-handed pitcher allowed zero hits and one run (zero earned) over three innings, striking out four and walking one. Trayvon Washington took the loss for Grant. The pitcher went one inning, giving up three runs on two hits, striking out three and walking two. Joseph Packard started on the hill for Foresthill Varsity Wildfires. The right-handed pitcher allowed seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Robles led things off on the bump for Grant. The starter allowed seven hits and seven runs (five earned) over five innings, striking out eight and walking five.
