17 year old Brent Aldridge set out on his journey this past weekend to continue his way through the 2026 Silver Gloves at the Regional level (a tourney designed to allow 17 and under to defend their state, region, and nation to showcase their best). This tournament allowed Brent to showcase as an open fighter. Going against last year's winner and he was confident, strong and trained. Aldridge went the distance and lost in a split decision, but was favorited by the fans and coaches in the crowd- many believing Aldridge should've taken the W. Still a win in our books, however, for this was the first of many larger, sectioned, sanctioned tournaments for Brent, and he proved that he definitely belonged there! We are proud of the fighter and young man he's is becoming! Strong self discipline, huge work ethic, high marks in school, humble, and helpful- these are the types of fighters Best Shot Boxing look to build!
