Creative ways to change habits
You´ve probably heard the phrase "we are our habits"... Just by looking at someone's habits we can often tell their health, happiness, fitness level, lifestyle, even wealth.
So.... If we change our habits we can change our life.
I want to give you 3 ways to hack your habits.
1. Reduce the size of the task
Let's say you want to exercise 30 minutes on the treadmill each night. Instead of thinking about 30 minutes, reduce it to 3 minutes. Doing 3 minutes on the treadmill sound easy to do and it helps our brain get started. After you've completed those few minutes you'll find it's easier to keep going.
2. Make the task fun.
You can always ask "How can I do the task and enjoy myself at the same time?"
Maybe you can read a book while your on the bike. Or listen to an audiobook.
3. Trick your body
You can always set yourself up so its easier the actual day of the task. Let's say you want to exercise tomorrow morning.
The first thing you do the night before is take out the clothes, put the shoes by your bed and also set the time you´ll head out. That way the next morning you wake up, put your clothes on and by then you will realize you´ve already taken the first step.
