This is a group class which meets at different outdoor venues every weekend. Mostly running in parks through mountain bike trails, but also hill and beach runs. It also includes bodyweight workouts as well as heavy carries for metabolic conditioning and improved performance for Obstacle Course Races or other sports. e body. Spartan Group X (SGX) from Sakz Fitness is an unique exercise program taught by Robert Sakz, a nationally certified Spartan group X Coach and Obstacle Specialist. SGX is designed to create an exhilarating and badass community driven group atmosphere of fitness that optimizes individual performance in Spartan Races and other obstacle/mud run races (Tough Mudder, Savage Race, Soldier Rush, Goliath Gauntlet, etc.) as well as in daily life. This weekend group class is a good sample of the type of workouts of the program, however to obtain the full benefits of the SGX course it's recommended to sign up for a 6 or 12 week program which can be one-on-one or as a small group, The location can be arranged with Coach Sakz. SGX utilizes a unique, independently developed strategy of periodization that allows specific aspects of training, fitness, and nutrition to be targeted at various times , however the SGX is about changing the mind and body from the inside out. Uphill Run & Carry on selected Sundays. A total of 3.5 miles on hills with 2 sets of uphill heavy carries in between laps. Sandbags, logs, tires, buckets, etc..

Trail run through wooded nature trails. Over roots, rocks, logs, mud, uphill/downhill, quick turns,and all the natural obstacles nature provides. We did 6 mi total this morning.

Uphill Run & Carry. Several laps around the park with uphill heavy carries in between laps. Log carry, truck tire roll, 70lb bucket carry, double car tire carry, and 90lb sandbag carry & pull. JD & Ray also wore 20lb vests most of the time.

Running through wooded trails uphill/downhill, over roots, rocks, and over uneven surfaces on nature trails. Training with natural obstacles in nature will condition your quick reflexes and stabilizing leg muscles to respond when needed on race day. It’s also a much better cardiovascular workout than just running on a track.

Great 4 mile run through wooded trails in Oleta Park. Shaded by tall pines and surrounded by Florida Mangroves. Many technical trails with quick turns, short steep climbs, over roots, rocks and all the elements that makes a nature trail challenging but yet so much fun.
