Why Is Anna Kepner’s Case Being Sealed? New Court Docs Raise Bigger Questions

She boarded a family cruise. She never made it home.
Now the death of 18-year-old cheerleader Anna Kepner has spiraled into one of the most closely watched – and most secretive – cases in Florida.

Newly uncovered family-court documents confirm what authorities have not publicly said:
The FBI is investigating Anna’s death as a possible homicide.

But the twist shaking the public is what came next.
Anna’s stepmother — who is also the parent of the 16-year-old named in court filings as a suspect — is urgently asking the judge to seal the entire case.
A gag order.
Closed hearings.
