Meet Sophie! She’s the smiling face in our office who helps things run smoothly!! Let’s get to know your office manager!
Where are you from? I was born in Miami, but I am half Haitian and half Spaniard! Growing up with both cultures gave me a love for learning about different cultures and traditions.
What’s your favorite thing about working with the kids and families at Believe? Seeing our students grow in confidence, overcome challenges, and grow as people. I also love getting to know the families.
What are some of your favorite things to do outside of work? Traveling, learning about new cultures, spending time with family and friends, and trying new things.
What’s something about you that people at Believe might be surprised to learn? I really enjoy giving back to my community and helping others whenever I can.
What’s your favorite food or your go-to treat? Anything my mother makes! She is an amazing cook, and I will always choose a home-cooked meal from her.
What are you currently studying, and what do you hope to do in the future? I am studying Finance and hope to build a career in the financial industry, especially in business, investing, and financial management.
What’s one thing that can instantly put you in a good mood? Starbucks or spending time with my mother.
What is one word you would use to describe the Believe community? Strong. We are all different, but when we come together, we are like a family. We support and help each other.
What is something you’ve learned from being around martial arts? How to use your words. At Believe, mindset is important in how we speak, express ourselves, and handle challenges.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a brand-new student or family? Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Trust the process, stay consistent, and enjoy being part of the Believe family.
