South Florida Contenders Baseball Academy BASEBALL ACADEMY AND TRAVEL SOFTBALL TEAMS
*A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION We started with 12u and 14u softball teams. We also currently also have a 14 & under team.

The South Florida Contenders was formed in 2001 as a Non Profit Softball Travel Team Organization designed to give players a chance to play more advanced softball. Now softball focuses primarily on the 18 & under program. Our 18U team is an exposure team designed to put girls in front of college coaches and get them signed. In 2002 the baseball side of the Contenders was formed. It was started wi

th a 12u team and now has grown into 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u,14u and 16u. Just like softball it was put together for baseball players to play more advanced baseball. Our philosophy is to build our teams by picking up players that are not only talented but have great families. We are big on building a hard working dedicated person through our softball/baseball programs. We are not a win at all costs program!

Congrats to Christian Dixon for signing with Dominican University. What a ride. We won so many travel ball championships with your Contenders team, including the big one Ripken Myrtle beach. I will never forget pitching to you when you won the HR derby. The Contenders memories will live on.
Your success in travel ball and high school is complete. Now go and tear it up in college; you earned it. I’m proud of you.
