Solo auditions are quickly approaching and we are so excited to begin this special process with our dancers! Auditions will take place on June 5th beginning at 5:00 PM. Please be sure to fill out and submit the audition form in order to reserve your dancer’s audition time slot.

A solo is such an incredible opportunity for a dancer to truly shine in the spotlight on their own. Not only does it help build confidence, performance quality, and stage presence, but it also allows dancers to grow artistically and express themselves in a unique and personal way. The growth we see throughout the solo season is always so rewarding!

We encourage all dancers to step outside of their comfort zone and give this experience a try. Whether it’s their first audition or they’ve performed solos before, this is such a memorable and exciting journey.

To audition, dancers should prepare a 45–60 second solo in the style of their choice. We can’t wait to see all of their hard work, passion, and creativity on display! 💛

Behind every dancer is a team that believes in them, pushes them, supports them, and loves them every step of the way. At Spotlight Dance Academy, our mission has always been about more than just dance. We are passionate about creating confident, kind, hardworking humans while building a safe place for our dancers to grow, thrive, and shine. 🖤

✨ Jennifer Travieso — Owner & Director
With over 25 years of dance experience, Jennifer continues to lead Spotlight with passion, heart, and dedication. Her goal has always been to inspire dancers not only to grow technically, but to grow into respectful, confident, and genuine individuals both on and off the dance floor.

Throughout her career, Jennifer has experienced every side of the dance world; from teaching and training dancers, to earning choreography awards, running a successful studio, and judging national dance competitions. Her years of experience have given her a deep understanding of what truly matters when building a positive, supportive, and safe dance environment where dancers can thrive.

✨ Alexandra Rodriguez — Co-Director
As a former professional dancer with over 15 years of experience, Alexandra is the backbone of so much that happens behind the scenes. Her passion, leadership, and commitment help Spotlight run smoothly while always making sure every dancer feels supported, encouraged, and cared for on and off the stage.

✨ Brianna Del Aguila — Artistic Director
With numerous choreography awards and a passion that shines through in every piece she creates, Brianna continues to guide our award-winning team with creativity, vision, and heart. She strives to bring out the best in every dancer while helping them build confidence, artistry, and a love for the process.

Tonight was truly something special. ✨
Our 15th Annual Gala was filled with so much love, laughter, happy tears, unforgettable memories, and the kind of energy that reminds us why we do what we do. Honestly, one of the best nights we’ve had in a very long time. ❤️

To our incredible staff … thank you for pouring your hearts into our dancers every single day. Your love, passion, and dedication never go unnoticed.

To our dance families … thank you for supporting your dancers, believing in them, and being part of this beautiful journey with us.

And to our sweet senior, … we hope this was the banquet of your dreams. You’ve brought so much joy, light, and love into Spotlight, and you will always be one of our guiding lights. We love you endlessly. ✨
