After five beautiful years, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close our Little River studio. Our final day of classes will be Sunday, June 7th. 🤍

This space was never just a studio. It was growth, healing, discipline, connection, and community in its purest form. We are endlessly grateful to every client and teacher who helped shape Pilathon into what it became here.

Due to unsustainable rent increases and recent paid parking, it is no longer possible to operate out of this space with integrity. While heartbreaking, this decision comes from a desire to protect the heart of what we’ve built.

Our community is not going anywhere. We warmly invite you to continue practicing with us at our Wynwood location, where the energy, movement, and spirit of Pilathon continue stronger than ever.

Shoulder pain during pilates usually = lack of support

– scapula not set → traps take over
– ribs flaring → no connection to center
– over-gripping → tension goes straight to the neck

The chair is simple… which is why it exposes everything. 👀

Here are 5 things we see all the time:

1. Locking the knees
Takes you out of the movement and into your joints. Keep a slight bend so you can actually control it.

2. Thinking it’s just legs
If your upper body and core aren’t organized, the exercise won’t feel right. It’s always full-body.

3. Letting the spring do the work
The return matters just as much as the press. If you’re not controlling it up, you’re missing half of it.

4. Losing your center
Once your core drops out, everything else starts taking over (hips, shoulders, etc).

5. Chasing reps over control
More range or more reps doesn’t mean better. If you can’t control it, it’s not doing what it’s supposed to.

Simple setup, but not easy if you’re doing it right.
