This is one of the most difficult posts I’ve ever had to write. But i need to express how amazing Allen Bailey really is.
News of his tragic death has had me in a state of shock all day. It’s hard for me to even type this.
I met him when he was coming out of Miami. Trained him for the NFL draft. Trained him through his brilliant career. Continued to train him after retirement. And continued to work with him through the The Trust program (our partnership with the NFLPA that provides health and wellness services for retired NFL players). The first time I was ever featured on the newspaper front page was actually a feature on Allen (look at the picture of me training him; that defined his sheer intense, but humble demeanor).
He is, without a doubt, one of the hardest working, disciplined, humble, and most dedicated athletes i have ever had the pleasure of training. The ultimate professional. Never had a single had thing to say about anyone. Treated every single person in my entire organization and medical system with respect. Everyone loved him. Everyone loved being around him. Not only was he the ultimate LEADER in training, football, and life; he had the ability to uplift an entire room by just being HIM.
Please pray for his family during this difficult time. And please, if you don’t know him - check out his life story. One of the most inspiring human beings ever.
I’ve been trying to write this post all day; but I break down crying every time. But he deserves for EVERYONE to know him. His story. His legacy should live on, last through the ages.
May God be with you Allen. I pray you fully understand how much you positively affected EVERYONE you ever met.
Peace and love…..🙏🏼
