The Sets are of great importance in the Kenpo to work coordination, displacement, body alignment and attacking techniques in movement. GM Parker define them: "SETS teach you how to articulate your basics, to be crisp and exact, while progressively developing them. (3) In our system of Kenpo they are appendices to the study of motion." from "Ed Parker's Encyclopedia of Kenpo" by Ed Parker.
This diagram shows the KICKING SET I -A set required for Orange Belt that employs the ball kick, side kick, front and rear leg roundhouse kicks, rear kick, and spinning rear kick.
