For the over-achiever with way too much on her plate right now…take what you need this week. 🌷↓
1️⃣ Commit to a plan-free weekend.
Sometimes all you really need is to cozy up on the couch and do absolutely nothing for an hour…or twelve. Enjoy it.
2️⃣ Play hooky from your "self-care" habits.
There's a difference between doing wellness and actually being well. High achievers are masters at turning rest into another performance metric. The morning green juice, workout, meditation, journaling sesh, or wind-down routine? Do it if, and *only* if, your body actually wants it that day. Skip it if it doesn’t.
3️⃣ Be painfully unproductive for an hour.
Paint badly. Do cartwheels in the backyard. Dance to a song you loved 20 years ago. Waste time on purpose. Then notice how much of it starts to come back to you.
4️⃣ Walk, commute, eat, or fold laundry *without* any stimulation.
Notice when the instinct to plug your ears with a podcast or put on a show is really an attempt to avoid being alone with your own thoughts. Let yourself sit in that silence instead of filling it.
5️⃣ Build in screen-free time.
Screens are often how we avoid the boredom (and stillness) we're actually afraid of. Try a screen-free rhythm this week: a full weekend, every lunch break, or every night from 8pm to 7am.
6️⃣ Protect one pocket of spaciousness each day
Morning, lunch, or evening. It doesn’t have to be the same every day, but it *does* have to be every day. You deserve space and stillness that you can actually look forward to.
Share this with the ambitious woman in your life who needs it. And let me know which one you’ll be trying this week! 👇🏾
