The spring season was the worst weather I've ever experienced, and it made for slow hunting. It's better to be lucky sometimes than good. This bear was sleeping on a moose carcass for 2 days, and it allowed us time to come up with a game plan to harvest this beast with a bow. Squared 10'6". Turned out to be a great hunt with the short weather window we had.

Spring bear season on the peninsula was brutal this year. It tested every ounce of patience we had. The cold, high winds and rain were relentless. We just had to trust the process of letting things unfold.

Just got a patient and wait them out sometimes. He stayed in one little valley the entire time while it rained almost everyday. The first good weather day, boom...end of story.
