Cristiano Ronaldo kicks off his EURO2024 debut today β
And there's a lot of pressure on him, particularly because of the following reasons πππ
1οΈβ£ Ronaldo made his first appearance in the Euros in 2004 and that year Portugal π΅πΉ hosted it and made it to the final of that tournament, but unfortunately lost to Greece π¬π· in the final.
2οΈβ£ Ronaldo is currently the highest goal scorer for the tournament with 14 goals, has the most games with 25 games so far, not just that he is the only one that has scored in 5 different Euros, so all eyes on him to see if he'll score in his 6th Euros.
3οΈβ£ Ronaldo made it to the final in his first Euros, this is his last Euros, and all eyes on him, will he also make it to the final π
4οΈβ£ If he makes it to the final and wins it, he will be the oldest player in the history of the tournament to win the Euros
5οΈβ£ This will probably be Ronaldo's last International tournament for Portugal π΅πΉ as he's close to retiring... Will he be able to win yet another trophy π for Portugal before he retires???
Ronaldo has won 2 trophies for Portugal π΅πΉ, and those are the only 2 trophies in Portugal trophy cabinet π
All of theese π and many more are part of the many reasons why there's so much pressure on Ronaldo in this tournament...
Portugal π΅πΉ had a sold out training session 3 days ago in Germany because of this one man, everyone wants to just catch a glimpse of the G.O.A.T π
Trust me, I don't want to be Ronaldo right now... Both his haters and lovers are on watch looking to see what will be the end of a great legend of the game β
May the universe be kind to Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal π΅πΉ in this year's Euros ππΌ
Wishing him, Roberto Martinez and the rest of the team all the best of luck as they kick off their Euro Campaign today ππΌ
