Hey All,

Just wanted to share with you some sad news. The FIU Kendo Club will no longer be holding practices or events as of Fall 2023.

The truth is, we have had lacking membership and engagement from the student body for over a year now. Without a formal instructor and consistent support from the membership and executive board, running the club became unwieldy and unproductive.

For all those interested in practicing kendo or iaido in Miami, please check out the following dojos:

1. Tokubukan (Biscayne) https://tokubukan.com/

3. Miami Budokan (Coral Way) https://www.miamibudokan.com/

All of these locations have strong offerings with the 2nd and 3rd offering Iaido as well.

おはようございます, 皆さん (Good Morning, Everyone)!

Our first practice of the semester will be on Tuesday, January 17th from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at the WRC's North Basketball Court.

If you need to join our WhatsApp group or Discord, please DM us for the link to either (or both).

No equipment or prior experience necessary. No membership fee (fully free for students, WRC membership required for staff / faculty, WRC guest pass + visitor parking for community members).
