After every “Belt Ceremony” our Kidz chant in group:
I’M A STRONG & SMART KARATE KID
And throw their old belt up and shout “GAMBATE”.
This time we had 65 children celebrating all at once.

🙌🙌 Join us in welcoming home Miami’s very own first ever Karate Olympian!

Kogeki Dojo is delighted to invite our karate family for a meet and greet with Ariel Torres. Torres, a native of Cuba and raised in Hialeah FL, brought home the country’s first ever 🥉 Olympic bronze medal in Karate, following the recent 2020 Tokyo games. He has also won Golden and Silver medals in the PanAmerican Championship & Games, and several other world tournaments. Torres will be available for pictures with our guests and will answer questions about his karate journey as an Olympian.

Good Afternoon Kogeki Karate Family. This is Sensei.
We all are facing the CoronaVirus situation and we all are taking high hygienic measurements to prevent this virus. Our Dojo have hired a Profesional Cleaning Company “Anago Cleanning Serivces” to make sure that your child practic in a very safe environment.
Due to the safety measures that the School District has taken in closing the schools, We at Kogeki have prepared a Camp this week tied up with the “Spring-break Week”. There’ll be indoor activities to avoid leaving our premises.
Our doors will be open from 8:00am till 6:00pm.
Camp weekly value $100.00.
Classes will continue on their regular schedule until further instruction from local or state authorities.

Makiwara
The use on Makiwara in Tzuki is not for to learn to punch with the Seiken, keep the fist tight and the wrist straight only.
It is even more important:
How you iníciate the movement from the heel.
To make sure that, this one is secure to the ground. Then:
Move forward the side of the hip where the punch initiating without pulling the Hiki-Te side back.
That the shoulder of the arm that does Hiki-Te doesn’t move back.
Then, execute the punch and make sure that both hands arrive at the same time.
On top of all these:
The Kokyū:
You must release all the air at the momento of impact.
Then, we have:
Heel, Hip, Torso, Shoulder and finally Hand.
