Puja is a sacred ritual that opens you to a state of receptivity, receptive to the flow of grace, which is ever present. This devotional practice welcomes the new day, using mantra to connect with all of the elements of nature, while honoring self, the teachers and teachings, past and present.

As humans, we are ritualistic beings. If we do not have conscious rituals in our life, we will fill our lives with unconscious rituals.
Conscious rituals are a cornerstone of the integrated practice of yoga. Sacred rituals invoke a powerful presence, strengthen your auric field, and elevate the state of your life. They can easily be incorporated, mindfully, in a daily routine.

The sacred ritual of Puja is a devotional practice which welcomes the new day, using mantra to connect with all of the elements of nature and the four directions, while honoring Self, the teachers and teachings, past and present. It places one in a state of receptivity to the ever-present flow of grace, recognizing the sacredness that is everywhere.

Why we take a childโ€™s pose (balasana, child+seat)
This asana reminds us to surrender the Ego, and connect to the present moment. Children remind us to connect to our natural innocence; returning to to this pure, unburdened state of present awareness.

Physically, this Asana lengthens the spine to relieve compression from sitting. Provides lower back relief by creating space in the lumbar region. It can be a gentle hip opener that flexes the hips to release tight pelvic muscles. It also supports us in reducing stress by calming the brain to alleviate physical fatigue and anxiety.

So if you have a moment, take a couple of cycles of conscious breaths, warm the body with some gentle movement, and then find the Lila (divine play) of Balasana.

There were so many Sound Healings! Continuing with our Meditation Initiations, Community Classes, Yagyas (Fire ceremonies), Menโ€™s Circle, Womenโ€™s Circle, privates, Vedic Astrology readings, shared Wisdom talk in India, and having monks visit.
