Ballet Etudes has been one of the premier dance schools in the Southeast for over 45 years.

Ballet Etudes School was founded in 1974 alongside its professional performing company, Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida, Inc., and now boasts over 75 graduates to date. The Mission of Ballet Etudes is to offer children and adults of all ages a variety of courses designed to provide a complete education in classical dance. Whether in pursuit of a professional career or simply deriving the jo

ys and physical benefits of a dance class, Ballet Etudes offers students a graduated system of study to satisfy any skill level. Pre-professional students have the opportunity to develop the skills, experience, and discipline that are the necessary foundations for a professional dance career. Graduate and near-graduate students have the opportunity to perform with Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida in professional-caliber productions of such classics as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake, Coppélia, Paquita, and La Fille Mal Gardée. Members of Ballet Etudes Company of South Florida receive "hands-on" experience of what it is to train in a professional setting. They also receive specialized coaching for corps de ballet as well as soloist roles. Ballet Etudes School offers the finest dance training in an encouraging and professional atmosphere. Ballet Etudes supports the growth of classical ballet by maintaining the highest standards and by nurturing the talent of every student.

2026 Senior Spotlights:
Congratulations to our Graduating High School Seniors - Jade Mejia and Gianna Pierre!

Jade graduated from Barbara Goldman Senior High School in the top 15%. She has committed to FIU to pursue pre-med and plan to major in health science. At Goldman, she was a member of the Spanish Honor Society, Medical Leaders of Tomorrow, SWAT club, Animal Rescue, First Priority, Open Mind Open Arms, and Salsa club, all while being an active member of Ballet Etudes Company!

Gianna graduated from Hialeah Gardens High School in the top 5% of her class and will be attending the University of Florida, majoring in Health Sciences, and is also pre-med. She received her Aice diploma with merit, graduated with her Associate’s degree, and received a Bright Futures scholarship. Gianna was an active member of Ballet Etudes Company and one of our Creative Movement teachers this year.

Congratulations Jade and Gianna! We are so proud of you and wish you the best on your college careers!

Beautiful memories from our Spring Show on Sunday, March 15th at Lou Rawls Center for the Performing Arts 🩰🪭👟 We had an amazing audience to see the return of our original ballet Puss In Boots, choreographed and staged by Peter La Fox and Dagmar Moradillos! Our Hip Hop and Flamenco students also wowed us with their dazzling moves in choreographies by Ms. Monika, Ms. Mara, Ms. Sasha and Ms. Tyra. And a special thank you to our Guest Artists from Puerto Rico!! What a wonderful afternoon of dance!
This performance was possible in part due to the support of Miami-Dade County.

The Ballet Etudes family extends its heartfelt condolences to Ms. Dagmar, her daughter Dagalys, and their entire family on the passing of her beloved mother, Teresa. An ardent supporter of the arts, Teresa made many sacrifices to facilitate her daughter’s ballet career. She lived a long and beautiful life and was lovingly cared for by Ms. Dagmar and family. Our thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Dagmar in this difficult time. May Teresa rest in peace. 🕊️

A belated congratulations to Ms. Lizbeth and her husband on the arrival of their baby boy Matthew! Matthew was born on October 17th at 3:19am weighing 8 lbs 10 oz and measuring 20.5 inches!

Today is Graduation Day for two very special young women: Samantha Borrero and Sasha Jimenez! Part of the Ballet Etudes family since they were 3 years old, they have successfully completed the Ballet Etudes curriculum and will receive their diplomas on stage tonight at the Miramar Cultural Center! These young women are accomplished dancers and valuable members of Ballet Etudes’ faculty. We extend our sincerest gratitude to their families for all the years of support.
