The NFL docked the Buccaneers one OTA practice for being too physical and the league said they had “too many guys on the ground,” a violation of offseason rules 🚨

“Wednesday, by the league, looking at the first practice we had too many guys on the ground so they took a practice from us. So Wednesday was by their [the league’s] doing, Tuesday was already set in motion for our doing. We cleaned it up after that. We understand we’re not trying to get nobody hurt yet, you know, that was the basis of it,” Bowles said of the team’s practice schedule.

Bowles confirmed that the NFL reviewed their practice footage and flagged multiple plays where there was too much contact.

“Yeah, it’s about 3 or 4 plays that [the league] recorded us and you know we’re trying to practice safety as well. We got a lot of new guys trying to learn how to practice, but we cleaned that up and kind of took care of it.”

BREAKING: Former Raiders WR Henry Ruggs III was DENIED parole nearly five years after killing a woman in a car crash in Las Vegas 🚨

Ruggs, a former 2020 first-round draft pick, drove his sports car at speeds up to 156 mph in the city on Nov. 2, 2021, slamming into a vehicle that killed 23-year-old driver Tina Tintor and her dog, Max.

Prosecutors at the time said his blood-alcohol level taken within the required two hours after the crash was 0.16%. Before the crash, he was at TopGolf, a sports entertainment venue in Las Vegas, according to prosecutors.

Ruggs, 27, pleaded guilty in May 2023 to felony DUI causing death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter. He was sentenced in August 2023 to a three- to 10-year prison sentence.

Ruggs will go before the parole board again three months before his Aug. 24, 2027, mandatory parole release date.

Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire defends his quarterback, Brendan Sorsby, who's under fire for gambling on his own team's football games and being ruled eligible to play this season.

“Brendan Sorsby is recovering from an addiction. He’s recovering. I’ve sat down with this young man multiple times and the things that he’s going through and what he’s been through. It’s serious…It’s not m*rder. It’s not beating somebody. There’s a lot of things that we’re working through.”

Jets RB Braelon Allen says he’s up to 250 pounds after playing at 238-240 last season 💪

“I’m about 250 right now. I played 238, 240 last year, and you know we do our DEXA scans, I would say 3 or 4 times a year. And the most recent one I did was by far my best, the most lean muscle mass I’ve ever had, the lowest percentage of body fat, perfect symmetry in both my legs and my arms, and everything looked exactly how we wanted it to.”

Allen, now at 6-1, 250 pounds, will continue to be a power back for the Jets behind Breece Hall.
