ONE MORE SLEEP!!
A couple of reminders for recital weekend! Please read the full post!!!

The doors for the show open 1 hour before showtime. Friday nights are always busy, and selling out is likely. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to find a seat. Also, regarding seating, please do not to leave empty seats between groups or use seats to hold your belongings.

We do allow dancers into the auditorium to watch the show; however, if you have a small dancer who can sit on a lap rather than taking a seat (especially Friday) please do that.
Older dancers, please stand in the rear of the auditorium to limit frequent audience distractions when going up to change or perform.
When moving throughout the auditorium for costume changes or to perform, please only move between dances, not while a performance is in progress.

Use only the back doors to enter and exit the auditorium. All our dancers have worked very hard this year for this performance, and your respect for their work and the people who came to see them is appreciated.

Dancers must report backstage three numbers before they perform to line up, and 3 numbers from the end for the curtain call. Parents of our 6-year-olds and under, please remind your kiddos about sitting on the stage after the curtain call and waiting for their adult to pick them up.
Parents of 3-5 year age group, you will need to retrieve your kiddo after their number is complete in the hallway by the stage doors.

The locker rooms are available for costume changes. Please do not utilize the bathrooms for changing.

🎟️ Tickets for Friday are getting low (200 left), and Saturday is not too far behind. Be sure that if you have not bought your tickets yet, you are there early to grab yours. The door opens at 5, but the ticket table will be there by 4 on Friday.

Also, there is still space for hair styling done by Island Indulgence at MVHS on the day of the shows. The link to sign up for that is in the comments below!

Tomorrow is Dress Rehearsal Day! 🎉

Rehearsal begins at 3:45 PM at the Mountain Valley High School Auditorium and will run in full show order.

A few important notes:

-Our 3-year-old dancers (“Never Grow Up” and “I Want Candy”) will perform at 3:30 PM and may leave once they are finished.
-The Dad’s Dance will rehearse at the end of the evening.
-We will run the finale/curtain call in the middle of rehearsal (during the 16th number), when most dancers are present.

Reminders:

-Dancers should arrive in costume and ready to start on time.
-The show order will be posted and updated in real time in the cafeteria to help everyone follow along.
-No tights needed for rehearsal (to help prevent tearing).
-Locker rooms will be available for costume changes.
-The gym is not available for playing during breaks—please help us respect the high school so we can continue using this space in the future.

Extras for the evening:

-The Dirigo Divas will be selling dinner in the cafeteria, with proceeds benefiting the Dempsey Challenge.
-Tickets will also be available for purchase throughout the night.

The need to know for next week's rehearsals:

1. Stage rehearsal:
Each group will have a scheduled time for stage practice at the Mountain Valley High School auditorium on Monday, April 27 (see schedule in comments). These rehearsals are not in show order
and will not be in costume. It serves as a practice for each group to work on stage comfortability and spacing.

2. Dress Rehearsal
A mandatory dress rehearsal will take place on Wednesday, April 29 at 3:45 PM at the Mountain Valley High School auditorium. This rehearsal will run in full show order. Dancers must arrive in
costume (you do not need to wear tights to prevent rips) and be ready to begin on time.
Please note: Our 3-year-old dancers will perform their two routines first. We ask that they arrive ready by 3:30 PM for dress rehearsals (3:15 for the stage rehearsal). They may leave once they have finished performing.
The program is provided below to help you plan your evening.
*Dad's dance will be practiced at the end of dress rehearsal, typically around 6:45 (ending time may vary).

The Dirigo Divas will be present on dress rehearsal night (Wednesday) with hot dinner dishes for sale to keep you fed! Proceeds go to the Dempsey Challenge.

Tickets will be on sale for $10 each at both nights' rehearsals.

Apparel: You can pick up apparel at the ticket table during both rehearsals.

Christal from Studio 6 will be at dress rehearsal to deliver pictures. Be sure to find her near the entrance to get yours.

Island indulgence stylists are helping out with your recital hair needs.
They will be styling dancer's hair at MVHS before the show. Please use the attached document to secure your spot if you'd like to sign up for this convenient service.
There will be stylists on Friday starting after school and on Saturday morning.
Prices vary by style- please message Rebecca Jeselskis for more styling and pricing information.

✨ Dance Reminders ✨

Hi everyone! Just a few quick updates for the week:

📆 This is the final week of studio classes, we are off next week for April school vacation, then we’re off to recital rehearsals at MVHS. For the rehearsal week schedule please see the “end of season” letter previously shared.

🕺 Dad’s Dance Practice is tonight at 3:30-4:30 PM in the rec center gym– we can’t wait to see all our dance dads there!

🩰 Mrs Kayla’s Tuesday classes Update: There will be no 3 & 5-year-old class this week. Our middle school group will be joining Mrs. Liz’s class instead.

💃 Recital Prep Reminder: Tuition payments are due this week in order to purchase your recital tickets during rehearsal week.

Hold onto your tap shoes, recitals just around the corner and it’s about to get exciting here! And as always, thank you for an exciting year so far ❤️

Calling Dad's to the stage!

Set your alarm 🔔
Dad's dance sign-up will go live tomorrow night (3/29), at 8pm via Google Docs. You'll need to fill in your name and your dancer's name in one of the 30 available slots.

Practice times will be at the rec center on Sunday, April 12th, 19th, and 26th from 3:30-4:30pm. Please only sign up if you can commit to all three practices.
