Don’t forget to join us for Music on the Move this Sunday from 12:30 - 3:30 P.M.! A fun and interactive community event along the Middlesex Greenway, co-sponsored by Friends of Metuchen Arts, a 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization! We'll meet at the Metuchen Branch YMCA and head to the Greenway together for a lively walk filled with music, movement, and connection. After the walk, we'll return to the Y for a special live performance featuring guitarist and vocalist Sarah Teti and percussionist Lou Petto, followed by a collaborative group chalk art activity where everyone can help create something colorful and unique together. Light refreshments will be provided.

Tomorrow, we'll be celebrating two amazing employees at our statewide YMCA Recognition Luncheon! We are so excited to share that Metuchen and Edison Branch Director of Operations, Christine Tolley, and Childcare Director of Learning Engagement, Lindy Rutter, are being honored for their incredible work in our Y and communities 🎉👏

Christine is receiving the Cause-Driven Leader in Social Responsibility Award for leading the Togetherhood volunteer program, building relationships in our communities, raising money for the Annual Support Campaign and so much more.

Lindy is our YPN (YMCA Professional Network) Innovation Award winner thanks to her creative programming, leadership in childcare and commitment to inclusion!

We're so lucky to have Chrissy and Lindy on our team; their dedication makes our entire Y stronger. Please join us in congratulating them on this exciting achievement!

Congratulations to Priya on this amazing accomplishment! Priya was a member of our Youth and Government Program (YAG) for two years, and we were lucky to have her. She worked alongside her peers from our Y and Ys across the state to discuss and debate issues that impact our communities. We couldn't be more excited to see what other amazing things she'll accomplish 🎉✨

🎓 Congratulations to our Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Priya Hawaldar!

Throughout her time at STA, Priya distinguished herself through academic excellence, leadership, service, and involvement across our school community. She completed more than 250 hours of community service, was an active member of National Honor Society and Pink Club, and participated in volleyball.

Her hard work and dedication earned her more than half a million dollars in college scholarships. This fall, Priya will attend Fordham University, where she plans to major in Neuroscience and Philosophy.

When reflecting on her time at STA, Priya shared that she will especially miss the teachers who made a lasting impact on her throughout high school.

We are incredibly proud of all Priya has accomplished and cannot wait to see the impact she will make in the future.

Our new dry land swim equipment is here and ready to help take our swim team to the next level! From building strength and endurance to improving technique and power, this training will help our swimmers grow stronger both in and out of the pool.
