I don’t even have the words because this one is very personal…
We are devastated at the sudden and untimely death of Chad Lewis. Chad coached for our league for a lot of years as he raised two sons through the program. He was a faithful board member for the Massac Youth Soccer League, and he served on many boards in Massac County including as a City Alderman.
In the words of Massac Youth Football League, “Simply put, Chad was Metropolis…
He poured his heart and soul into this community. Whether it was a fundraiser, community event, youth activity, charity effort, or local board, chances are Chad was involved—often behind the scenes, volunteering his time and working tirelessly to make things happen.
His passion for serving others and his love for this community were evident in everything he did. He never sought recognition; he simply showed up, helped, and made a difference.
His passing leaves a tremendous void that will be felt throughout Metropolis for years to come. The impact he made on our community, our children, and countless organizations cannot be measured.
We are grateful for his friendship, his leadership, and his unwavering commitment to making our community a better place.
Thank you for everything.”
We are grateful for his wife Jessica and his sons Hudson and Holden for sharing him with us for all the years he was involved with Massac Youth Soccer. You have an entire community and region praying for you all!!
Coach Chad - you will be missed, my dear friend!!
Go rest high on that mountain…
