I’ve told many parents that it’s totally normal for your child to cry during swim lessons. This is my own kid, Tomtom at age 2 (lessons started at 12 months). He cried the whole time but still did everything and was swimming independently at this age. Don’t let crying stop you from teaching your kids an important life skill! It’s harder on you than it is on us and them. 🙂

Never to early to start swim lessons! This is just one example of how we want to get your 15-18 month old comfortable with the water and swimming!

Summer is here!! Give your kids (and you) confidence in the pool. We still have spots often for June and July!

Flotation devices should never take the place of swimming lessons and strict parental supervision of children in pools. As a lifeguard instructor, I have seen way too many children involved in non-fatal drownings due to these popular floaties.

Floaties simulate up and down buoyancy, similar to a drowning victim, instead of a horizontal position, which is the goal of swim lessons. Infants can easily tip over, due to their head weight, and quickly become submerged.

If you must use one, please do so carefully and with constant supervision.
