💙MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR 💛

My Jazzercise story started with my roommate taking me to my first Jazzercise class when I was 19 while living in Virigina. I was hooked.

After years of being a student, I finally became an instructor in 2005 and have taught in Destrehan, Boutte, LaPlace and would sub for Annette occasionally in Metairie. When a hurricane hit (I can’t remember which one; there are too many!), the center in LaPlace was closed due to damage; I moved to Metairie full time and was welcomed with open arms.

I absolutely love this fitness routine and helping people make their fitness goals. I also adore my fellow instructors and the people at Metairie Jazzercise. It’s not only a great place to work out, but a great place to work out with your friends, and make new ones along the way. I like that Jazzercise is constantly evolving, keeping up with the trends, keeping things fresh and have had so much fun along the way.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, I lived in the northern Virginia/DC Metro area for 13 years, and then moved to Louisiana (where my husband is from). We did the long distance dating for a few years until someone had to move. We all know who moved. 😊

Fast forward 20 years: My son and family live in Texas now, so I’m always planning my next visit to see my grandkids or planning a trip to Pennsylvania to see my family.

Through all of life’s changes, Jazzercise has always been a constant in my life and wouldn’t have it any other way. One thing for sure, I’m going to keep on Keeping On until I can’t do one more chasse.

💛Meet your Instructor Annette💙

My Jazzercise journey began in 1982 after my first child was born, when my sister-in-law brought me to a class in Metairie. I instantly fell in love with the music, dancing, fitness, and the positive energy. After years as a student and class manager, I became a certified instructor in 1994 after attending workshop in Atlanta.

Over the years, I taught in Kenner and Metairie, owned a center in LaPlace, and later owned Metairie Jazzercise Center for 10 wonderful years. The friendships, support, and loyal students made it an incredibly fulfilling part of my life.

In 2013, during my husband Gregg’s courageous battle with cancer, I stepped down as owner to focus on him. After his passing, Jazzercise and my Jazzercise family helped carry me through one of the hardest times of my life.

In 2016, I returned to Atlanta to get recertified and happily returned to teaching at Metairie Jazzercise Center, where I continue to teach today. In 2019, I met the second love of my life, Dominick, and we married in 2023. Together we share a beautiful blended family with my son and daughter, his daughter, and six wonderful grandchildren.

Jazzercise has always been more than a workout to me — it’s a loving, supportive community that truly becomes family. I’m forever grateful for the joy, strength, and friendships it has brought into my life. ❤️
