Our friends at Western Sports Management are bringing something to Mesquite Arena January 27–29 that we believe can genuinely change the direction of a young roughstock rider’s career.
The Rodeo Capital Roughstock Academy.
If you’re a roughie and you’re serious about making something out of this sport, this is where you want to be.
This is NOT a beginner camp. This is an elite academy built for experienced ba****ck riders, saddle bronc riders, and bull riders who have already made the decision that rodeo is something they want to chase.
For three days, 60 athletes — only 20 per discipline — will get the opportunity to work alongside some of the best men in professional rodeo.
You’ll get on. You’ll study film. You’ll work on the ground. You’ll get one-on-one coaching. You’ll be challenged, corrected, and pushed to become better than you were when you walked through the doors.
But this academy was built to give these athletes more than three good days of riding.
PRCA permits will be awarded to riders the coaches believe are ready to take that next step.
And $1,000 entry fee scholarships will be awarded to help those riders get down the road, enter rodeos, and put that opportunity to work.
That’s what makes this different.
You could walk into Mesquite Arena as an athlete trying to figure out how to reach the next level and walk out with a PRCA permit, money toward your first entries, relationships with some of the best in the business, and a whole different understanding of what it takes to make a living in professional rodeo.
Your reservation includes all meals, all three concerts, and a plus-one spectator pass. Hotel options are also available through registration.
