The Mesa Monsoons are an ABA basketball team based in the vibrant community of Mesa, Arizona.

As we gear up for our inaugural season beginning in October 2024, we are excited to bring top-tier basketball and community engagement to our hometown.

It’s almost time to level up! Are you ready to be a professional athlete?

Come tryout for The Mesa Monsoons, one of the newest teams in the starting 2026.

Doors open at 5:45pm and no entry after 6:30pm without confirmed prior arrangements.

We are capping it for a quality experience for all in attendance. So if you plan to attend, register ASAP.

We take our health and YOURS seriously, if you have fever, tiredness or dry cough, please stay home and rest. It’s flu season.

From the TBL Executive Desk:

Indianapolis IN - The Basketball League (TBL) announced the newest market to be awarded to Mesa AZ The new team will be called the Mesa Monsoons.

Mesa is a suburb of Phoenix and is a great location for our Mountain West conference. The new team is owned and operated by successful business woman who has operated successful organizations in the past Debrina Wright.

“I have been in communication with TBL for several years now and we have been waiting for the right timing to join this high level league with passion. For community. I met their Chief Brand Officer Jennifer Magley, while presenting at a Women’s in Sport conference and came away convinced that the time is now” — Debrina Wright TMO Mesa Monsoons

Mesa allows us to tie in CA and NV to our other Mountain West markets currently in ND, MT & WA.

TBL is entering its 8th season with in excess of 35 teams across North America.

“Having Debrina as a TMO in TBL is very exciting for us. She has established herself as a pioneer in the Turks of sports and fully understands our vision for the future of our league bring based on community engagement and impacting lives. ” - Evelyn Magley CEO TBL

The team plans on hosting tryouts around the area in all parts of Arizona starting next month.

The season begins in late February 2026
