There are not words to put in to what this team was/is. From the culture to the talent I can honestly say as a coach, this team was special. We never passed the “eye test” and we were under rated from the start. But we grew (maybe not in size but in heart). We put in so many hours of work. And so much time on and off the field pouring into the mental and physical part of this game.
It isn’t often that a coach can tell you exactly what each player did for a team but this team needed EVERY single one of these players. Players that had been over looked, were mentally worn down or just needed a different environment to ball out. This team did that. They built something so special that it is so hard to say goodbye to. As we move into this next chapter I hope every single one of you remembers the last year or two here. The abilities, the talents, the love of the game. The friendships, the hard times, and the practices that sucked but you grew. I’m behind you every step of the way. I’m a fan for life.
Lastly, I am so honored to have had this opportunity. To coach this group, the one that taught me that we could be small and mighty. That we could prove people wrong and it only mattered what WE thought about us. No one else. I am so PROUD to have coached you guys. I’ll be behind you every step of the way, no matter wat jersey you wear I’m a fan for life. I have loved EVERY. 👏🏼 SINGLE 👏🏼 MOMENT 👏🏼 .
We are just saying bye to a chapter but you all have so much more to write and I can’t wait to see where your stories end. ⚡️
