With an unbearably heavy heart, I share the devastating news that we lost Colin Kang yesterday. As both his coach and the WCCC Director, this loss is deeply personal. Colin was someone I had the privilege to work with closely, a young man whose kindness, warmth, and joy for cycling touched everyone around him. He brought light into every event, every race, every conversation.
Colin wasn’t just an athlete on our roster; he was a genuinely special human being whose presence made our community stronger and kinder. His absence leaves a hole that can not be measured.
My heart is with Colin’s family, his teammates at SJSU, and everyone who loved him. I’m holding all of you close and sending my deepest condolences, love, and support during this unimaginably painful time.
