First, I want to thank all of our drivers for their support over the past two weekends. We appreciate everyone's patience as we worked through our insurance issues. Those problems have now been resolved, and we are looking forward to moving ahead with a great racing season.
This weekend provided some exciting racing action. In the Late Models, Finley put on an incredible charge through the field, passing nearly every car except two before a caution flag slowed his momentum. He later went on to capture the win. Congratulations to Finley on a great run in a fast field on a fast track.
In the Modified division, Greg Gokey made his first appearance of the season and showed everyone how it's done, picking up the victory. It's great to have Greg back at Merritt Speedway, and we congratulate him on an impressive performance.
Nate Murphy continues to stay strong in the Pro Stocks, earning his second victory of the season. The Pro Stock class continues to provide some of the best racing on the track, despite the smaller car count. We'd love to see more Pro Stock drivers join us, as this class consistently puts on a great show.
In Factory Stock, Nick Putman continued his winning ways, collecting his third victory of the year. Congratulations to Alstin Christensen on a great run and victory in the 4-6 Cylinder division.
The Mini Wedges also put on some exciting racing. Congratulations to MW Unrestricted winner Alexis Bowen and MW Restricted winners Kaysen Harrington and Colton Reil.
This past weekend also featured the Kynlea Robson Memorial Race Night. It was an emotional and touching evening as we honored Kynlea's memory. A special thank you goes out to Oliver Hillard, Eric Spangler, and Danielle Robinson for participating in the memorial lap. It was a heartfelt tribute and a meaningful way to remember Kynlea.
Most importantly, we want to thank Kynlea's family for allowing us the opportunity to honor her memory. Thank you for blessing us with Kynlea's presence during her time at the track and for entrusting us with this memorial event. Kynlea, you will always be remembered and greatly missed.
Join us this coming weekend at Merritt Speedway. While the Late Models will be off the schedule, all feature events will receive extra laps. We will also host the IMCA Fast Shafts Special along with a 4-Cylinder Special. We look forward to seeing everyone back at the track for another action-packed night of racing at Merritt Speedway.
