Alan asked me not to sit in the chair next to him as that was what he was using to get up and down from the floor with. No one in the family could remember the last time dad was able to get up and down from the floor without using something. I told him “No. I’m not giving you back the chair. You can get up.” And I challenged him, “If you get up I’ll end the workout. If not we gotta do more”. Not sure if he was motivated to end the workout or not but… the video show what happened and doing it in front of his family? Priceless!

I asked for some help with transformation pics as that’s how LP was built. Erin sends me this just now! “NOW THAT, is some Life Power s**t right there!”
Erin first came to LP 9 years ago and has come back and forth around 5 times since. Life happens and we lose our way, that’s life. Nonetheless this time she came in with a different perspective, focus and mentality. The 60 lb weight loss is fantastic on its own without taking pills, shots or energy drinks but she’s back at the best weight she ever got to at LP and GET THIS- she’s already completed a full Hyrox in training and competing in her first official competition in 4 weeks from today!
Best is that even being in her best shape her words were “still have work to do”. Being healthy and fit isn’t something you accomplish and you’re done. It’s a journey for life.

I’ve never read a quote that exemplifies what being fit and healthy really is more than this one and it’s because of the characteristics describing the person and the characteristics that it takes to be fit and healthy. These are human qualities of people that can be developed and should be admired and aimed for. The current way the body looks as a result speaks to where the person is in the levels of these characteristics.
The vanity part? That’s just the icing on the cake.

It happens right? Car runs out of gas, no one there to help? You can call Triple A to come tow you or… you can let Oliver get out to push ya! Leg day is about doing work that actually translates to “Living your LIFE POWER!”
