Congrats to our own Lori Thomas for being selected to 16U Team Indiana as they compete at the USAW Women’s National Duals.
Lori started wrestling for the middle school team in 8th grade, and is heading into her sophomore year. We look forward to seeing how bright her future is going to be!

Congrats to Ethan Alvarez for his 7th place ALL-AMERICAN finish at the NHSCA Nationals!

After an early loss, he rallied off 7 straight wins on the backside of the bracket. In his 7th place match, he avenged his loss from earlier in the tournament! He finished the tournament 9-2 overall.

Let’s congratulate Ethan Alvarez on his 7th place finish at 120 lbs! The last time a Merrillville freshman placed at state was back in 2013 (Shawn Streck- 7th at 285).
