Leadership starts from the hands up. 🧊👐 And we are thrilled that Kaela Clerveaux will be headed to St. Olaf to continue her academic and volleyball career. She has been a standout 2026 Setter from Merrill, and Kaela has spent her time with Wisconsin Ice perfecting the art of the assist and leading our offense with incredible poise and vision. Kaela’s growth into an elite floor general is a testament to her hard work.

Setters are the heart of a team’s rhythm, and Kaela has been a heartbeat for the . Seeing her take that leadership to the next level as a future Ole is exactly why we do what we do. Kaela, your legacy at Ice is SET, and we can’t wait to see you take your talents to the collegiate stage and run the show in the MIAC! We are so proud of you and St. Olaf is getting a dedicated leader and a powerhouse teammate.

Coach Rick Svennes — a kind, positive, and generous part of our local volleyball community — is battling glioblastoma. He most recently coached for Newman, where his daughters also played. As he heads to Mayo Clinic for new treatment, his family is facing significant medical and travel expenses.
