50 years and still doing what we love!!

Nearly 50 years after opening Donna Carbone’s Dance Arts, Donna Schaeffer still arrives at the studio with the same enthusiasm that inspired her to first open its doors in 1977.

For Donna, dance has never been merely a business. It is a lifelong calling that continues to shape her daily life, relationships and outlook on the future.

“The best part is going to work and looking forward to going to work,” Donna said. “I never dread going to the studio.”

That passion remains evident throughout the Merrick studio she founded and helped grow into a community institution.
