Merrick Dance Centre We are a fun, non competition based dance studio where students have the ability to freely express themselves.

We believe that dance is an important accent in a child's life. There is joy in movement and we aim to help dancers of all ages and levels harness that. Beyond its physical benefits, the discipline of dance training helps to develop our natural skill sets for behavior and respect. We strive for our learning environment to be a positive, fun and safe space for these seeds to be planted and grown. W

🌟SENIOR SPOTLIGHT🌟 It’s time to recognize our senior this year, Kaylie A. I can not believe this moment is here. From that tiny little dancer to this fierce and talented person, your teachers could not be more proud of what you’ve accomplished at the studio. You are a shining light and you’ve only just begun to “tell your story”. Enjoy every minute of what the future holds for you! Congratulations! 🎉 Here is what Kaylie shared about their time at MDC:

“I have been dancing at MDC for 15 years!
It’s impossible to pick a favorite memory as there’s been so many great ones over the years. Some of my favorite dances have been: Revolting Children in 2019, Stormtroopers in 2021, Starships and Runaway in 2022, Devil Went Down to Georgia in 2023, and In This Shirt in 2025 (honorable mention: the When It Lands combo we do each year in Ms. Nia’s class)
Dance has meant the world to me over the years. It’s been an escape from everything where I could express myself and truly be myself.
In the fall I will be attending elizabethtown college for occupational therapy!
I’m going to miss this studio and these people so much. I’m so grateful for everyone here :)”
