Justin and Veronica June Culpepper are alumni of Clarkdale High School who are deeply involved in the work of the ministry. The two of them met here at Clarkdale and married soon after graduating.

Justin served as the QB1, captain and team leader of the 2002-2003 Clarkdale Bulldogs Football Region 5-2A championship playoff team, where he also played soccer here on Chris Mabry Field in the graduating class with the namesake of our field.

Both Justin and Veronica are proud parents and pillars of our community. Please join us in welcoming this branch of the Culpepper clan into the Local, as they continue to cultivate the next steps God has planned for not only their family, but also the lives of those they minister to.

Thank you to #16 and to Veronica for all of the true maroon memories!

Mr. and Mrs. Kim and Kathy Culpepper embody the essence of cultural significance in our community. This couple has perhaps contributed as much, or more, to the Clarkdale community and broader Meridian, MS area than any duo in the past century. Their support for local schools, involvement in church outreach, and mentorship of youth have greatly enriched our area.

There isnโ€™t enough time or space on our page to depict their impact in this area of Mississippi, so we wonโ€™t attempt to do so. It would be nearly impossible to locate a family in the area that hasnโ€™t been positively impacted by their presence. We simply say thank you for all you have and continue to do while shining for the Lord. Both are proud parents to Dusty and Jared Culpepper. Giving pre-game devotionals and pep-speeches to the 2002-2003 Clarkdale football team that Jared starred for was an experience enjoyed by the program.

Linked below is a small sample size and a window into what Mr. Kim has meant to the Meridian community. The article was authored by Mrs. Lisa Sollie, who also appears in the 1888 Local with her husband. Mr. Kim would also go on to have a successful career as an educator with Southeast Lauderdale.

Linked below is a short write-up describing only a small fraction of what Mrs. Kathy has meant for both the Clarkdale community and the state of Mississippi in the central area of the state.
