🥋✨ At Treasure Valley School of Karate, we believe karate is one of the most powerful tools for shaping a person's character.

Our instructors, Sensei Vanesa Perkins and Sensei Drew Pomeroy, have dedicated their lives not just to the art of karate, but to the growth of every single student who walks through our doors.

Sensei Vanesa has coached the USA National Karate Team internationally and placed 1st in Weapons and 2nd in Kata at the 2025 Mexico Nationals. But ask her what she is most proud of, and she will tell you it is watching a student discover what they are truly capable of.

That is the tradition we carry. That is the legacy we pass on.

🥋 White belt to black belt is a 4-5 year journey — and every single step matters.

At TVSK, our belt system is not just about rank. It is a map of your growth as a person.

White → Yellow → Blue → Orange → Purple → Green → Brown → Shodan-Ho → Black Belt 🖤
Youth ranks for 6 yrs plus add a stripe belt in between each color.

Each level is tested every 3-4 months. Each rank builds on the last — not just in technique, but in focus, discipline, and self-confidence.

We have watched students walk in nervous and unsure, and walk out carrying themselves differently. Not just physically. In how they handle challenges. How they speak to adults. How they show up for themselves.

That is the real belt. The one on the inside. 💙

At Treasure Valley School of Karate, we train in traditional: Okinawa Seito Karate-Do - Shudokan. We incorporate a family friendly atmosphere for both youth and adults. We train to pass on traditional knowledge and for self defense — these are complete paths of personal development rooted in the traditional Japanese 'Do' philosophy.

🥋 THINK YOU’RE TOO OLD TO START KARATE? THINK AGAIN!

Have you ever wanted to try karate but thought a traditional class might be too fast-paced, too physically demanding, or simply not designed for where you are today?

Treasure Valley School of Karate is exploring a NEW Karate 45+ program designed for adults who want to learn karate in a lower-impact, supportive environment and at a comfortable pace.

This class may also be a great option for adults who have physical limitations or simply need a more adaptable approach to training.

Our goal is to use karate to help participants:

• Stay active
• Improve mobility and flexibility
• Build balance and coordination
• Exercise both the body and mind
• Work on memory through learning karate techniques and patterns
• Build confidence while learning something new

We are currently considering offering the class once a week, with the possibility of adding a second weekly class if there is enough interest.

But first, we need to hear from YOU!

We are gathering information to determine how many people are interested and which days and times would work best.

🥋 NEW KARATE CLASS FOR AGES 3–6 — COMING SOON!

Do you have a little one who is always moving, loves to learn, or could benefit from building confidence, focus, coordination, and listening skills?

Treasure Valley School of Karate is getting ready to launch a new Tiny Tigers & Little Dragons Karate Class designed especially for children ages 3–6!

⭐ 30-minute classes
⭐ Once a week
⭐ 8-week session
⭐ $50 per month
⭐ Limited to only 10 students per class

We are currently gathering interest and finding out which days and times work best for families. Classes will be scheduled based on the greatest amount of interest.

👉 Registration could begin as early as mid-September!
