Some stories remind us that perseverance is not just something we talk about in karate — it is something people live.
Lexie’s journey to qualifying for the WUKF World Championships in Romania has been anything but easy. Recently, her life changed unexpectedly when she became wheelchair bound after a sudden medical situation. What should have been a normal day quickly became a difficult and uncertain chapter filled with doctors, questions, pain, and major life adjustments.
Then, in the middle of that hardship, came incredible news: Lexie had qualified and was selected to represent as part of the AAU USA National Karate Team at the WUKF World Championships in Romania.
That moment represents more than an invitation to compete. It represents years of training, sacrifice, resilience, and the courage to keep going even when life becomes overwhelming. Lexie has continued to show the heart of a martial artist — determination, humility, strength, and a willingness to keep moving forward.
We are incredibly proud of Lexie and excited to support her as she prepares for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Team USA on the world stage.
With this opportunity also comes significant travel, competition expenses and unexpected medical expenses. We are currently raising funds to help Lexie cover the remaining costs for travel, lodging, registration, and participation in Romania. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement helps make this journey possible.
Thank you to everyone who has already supported Lexie. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement mean so much.
Please help us continue to support Lexie as she prepares to represent Team USA in Romania. 🇺🇸🥋🌍
