JOIN A YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB
What does our children gain from the fees to join a youth wrestling club?
This could be applied to any sport that our kids participate in, but I'm particularly partial to the sport of wrestling. Here it is, we don't pay WE INVEST in our kids and their involvement in the sport of wrestling, or any sport they choose for that matter.
- We invest for those moments when our kids become so tired they want to quit but don't.
- We invest for those days when our kids come home from school and are "too tired" to go to practice but go anyway.
- We invest for our kids to learn to be determined.
- We invest for our kids to learn to take care of their body.
- We invest for our kids to learn to work with others and to be good teammates.
- We invest for our kids to learn to deal with disappointment, when they don't start, but still have to work hard at making the line-up.
- We invest for our kids to learn to make and reach attainable goals.
- We invest for our kids to learn that it may take hours, days, months and years of hard work and practice to succeed, and that success does not happen overnight.
- We invest for our kids to have the opportunity to build and develop life-long friendships.
- We invest so that our kids can exercise instead of sitting on thier cellphone or playing video games.
The bottom line is, we don't just invest in the sport we love, we invest for the opportunities that the sport of wrestling provides the kids we love.
To help them develop attributes that will serve them well throughout their lives and give them the opportunity to bless the lives of others.
In addition to the above, our kids improve their strength, conditioning, balance, coordination and agility that will carry over to other sports as well.
From what I have seen over my 35yrs of coaching kids and experienced myself as a father of wrestlers, the sport of wrestling is a great investment for a child!
