Big shoutout to Tyson! 🎉 Tyson is a senior this year in Pocatello, Idaho, and has been a special part of the Rise community for the past two summers.

Tyson’s connection to Rise goes way back! Our Operations Director, Angela, first worked with Tyson in an ERR classroom when he was in elementary school. Even after Tyson moved to Pocatello, the two stayed in touch, and we’ve been lucky enough to have him spend the past two summers working with us at Rise.

Tyson helps keep our gym running by cleaning, organizing, welcoming athletes, and jumping in wherever he’s needed. More than that, he brings so much energy and laughter to the gym, and we have absolutely loved having him as part of our team!

As Tyson begins his senior year of high school, we’re wishing him an amazing year ahead. We can’t wait to see where life takes him next!

Session 2 of PLAY+ and Ignition begins October 5, and this is always one of our most popular sessions of the year.

It falls right in that sweet spot between school volleyball ending and club season beginning, making it the perfect opportunity to keep playing, get more touches, continue developing, and stay connected to the game.

And when we say this session fills up, we mean it. Registration regularly sells out, so don’t wait until October to claim your spot!

Rise athletes, we want to come cheer you on!

Middle school and high school volleyball seasons are underway, and we LOVE getting the chance to see our athletes compete for their school teams.

If you have your season schedule, DM it to us! We want to know when and where you’re playing so the Rise crew can get out to as many games as possible and support you from the sidelines.

TIP OF THE DAY: Be where your feet are.

High school season is officially underway, and this is YOUR season to embrace!

There will always be another tournament, another tryout, and another club season ahead. Right now, focus on the team you’re with, the jersey you’re wearing, and the opportunities in front of you.

Learn. Compete. Be a great teammate. Make memories. And, most importantly, enjoy getting to play the game you love.

Rise Volleyball Academy is looking for a few more athletes to round out our rosters on THREE of our National 1 teams this season!

🔶 17 National 1 — Seeking a Middle & Pin Hitter This team is special. Last season they brought home 2 gold medals and a bronze, with a roster full of great kids and even better parents.

🔶 16 National 1 — Seeking a Middle & Pin Hitter Coming off top finishes in Boston and at our local HDVL tournaments, this group is competitive, hard-working, and backed by parents who show up for each other.

🔶 15 National 1 — Seeking a Pin Hitter & Libero/DS Top finishes and huge growth all season long. Supportive, kind team parents and players who compete hard for one another.

All three teams travel together this season to Seattle, Chicago, and Las Vegas 🏔️

If you know an athlete who plays these positions and wants to compete at the national level with a program that feels like family, send them our way.

We are incredibly grateful when families take the time to share what their experience at Rise has meant to them. Creating a place where athletes feel supported, challenged, valued, and genuinely excited to walk into the gym is at the heart of everything we do.

Volleyball development matters, but so do the relationships, confidence, friendships, and memories built along the way. We’re proud of the community our coaches, athletes, and families continue to create together.

Fall volleyball is almost here... and so are PLAY+ and Ignition!

If you’re looking for a fun, engaging way to keep developing your game this fall, now’s the time to sign up. Whether your athlete is just getting started or wants more opportunities to play, these programs are designed to build confidence, increase touches on the ball, and make learning volleyball something athletes genuinely look forward to.

Good luck to all of our Rise athletes heading into high school volleyball tryouts this week!

You’ve spent countless hours in the gym preparing for this moment. You’ve worked on your skills, challenged yourself, learned from mistakes, and grown as both a player and a teammate. Now it’s time to trust your training and let your hard work shine.

Remember that tryouts are about more than just your volleyball skills. Coaches notice athletes who
communicate well, encourage others, hustle after every ball, and bring a positive attitude to the court.
Most importantly, believe in yourself. No matter the outcome, keep working, keep learning, and keep loving the game. We are so proud of each and every one of you and can’t wait to hear how your week goes.

One last month of summer… let’s make it count!

August is here, and it’s packed with opportunities to get in the gym, prepare for the season, and celebrate some exciting milestones.

As summer winds down, we’re cheering on all of our athletes heading into high school tryouts and wishing everyone the very best as the new school year begins. We hope all of your hard work pays off, and we can’t wait to hear about your successes!
