Thompson Speedway World Series 10/9-10/10

Another run at Thompson for the last race of the year. Due to the broken arm we never made it there this summer so 365 days since our last race there

Took advantage to every round of practice on Friday and Saturday morning. Muffy helped spot Kali during practice - thank you 🩷

Heat Race - started 6th of 10 and finished third

Main - 32 cars!! Actually 31 took the green and it was quite a chaotic race. Several cautions. Kali did a good job of missing most of the incidents but one. Accident ahead caused all to check up and she hit the guy in front of her but the guy behind her hit her hard and it ended in a flat right front. Came off under caution while they cleaned up the accident got a tire on and was back out for the restart. She finished the 17th

10/4/26 Season Finale Race

Got the pole for the race and chose outside pole to start the race. Got the lead after the first lap. Was out there a couple laps until she was racing hard for 2nd back to 4th for awhile. Raced back to second and that is where she finished!! No podium interview as the rain was coming in and they had a couple more races to get in so only winner was interviewed.

The season didn’t go as planned obviously as her arm was broken early in the season at the 6/6 race. Got back on the track 8/29 and raced the last 4 races and ended her last race with a 2nd place finish!

9/19/26 Race

Started 16th in the 40 lap feature with 16 cars. Worked her way up to fighting for 6th place and with 3 to go caution flew. Restarted and going into turn 1 cars on the inside checked up and Kali ended up in the infield. Restarted again in the last position and finished 11th. Not the finish she was looking for but she drove her ass off.

9/12/26 Race Update

Two rounds of practice and second fastest both times.

Finished 6th in the heat race

Started 12th in the 25 lap feature with 18 cars and finished 12th after bouncing around and dealing with a “handful of a car”due to used tires.

Started 10th in the 25 lap feature with 17 cars and finished a solid 7th.

Kali will be back in the car tonight at Waterford Speedbowl after being out for 10 weeks with a broken wrist from the unfortunate incident on 6/6/26.

Since she’s not racing it herself she’s showing it off at car shows.

Thank you to all that check in to see how she’s recovering. It was an unnecessary crappy blow to her summer between not being able to race or practice pole vaulting for college. But she’ll be back soon for both!!!
