Well…we had a little issue. We were starting up and we had no spark on motor 2. It’s been a long, frustrating season. We will go home and try to get things working properly. If we can,we will try to make Hebron. Fingers crossed. We truly appreciate all the support from everyone

Hey guys. Heads up. Blue Thunder will not be at Greenwich this year. Catastrophic damage to 3 motors has really pushed our bounce. We’ve had a crew working on it every night and we are so thankful for everyone. We are shooting for Fonda September 4. We’ll keep you updated.

Larry Truex may be one of our newer crew members but what he lacks in time he makes up for in mechanical knowledge. Larry’s wife, Julie and Renee were long lost school friends/neighbors who reconnected after all these years. As they were catching up on old times, the men were talking shop and a new friendship was born. Larry used to race at Afton and other such tracks. Steven and Larry often bounce ideas off of each other and Larry had quickly become a vital member of the team.

This is Andrew Sander. He has been working with us for the past 5 years and he is a huge asset to our team. We’ve watched him blossom and grow. And grow. And grow. Andrew will be a senior at South Kortright in the fall and attending BOCES for equipment operations and repair. He has gained knowledge, experience and confidence over these years. There’s is nothing he won’t do to help anyone who needs it. You’ll recognize him because he always has on his cowboy hat. And after a couple cookies he becomes a motor mouth. Lol.
