Our 4 NONNO Campaign is dedicated to the loving memory of Gianluca’s beloved Nonno (grandfather), Nicola Aconi. The campaign’s logo creatively combines the 4 from Strides 4 Gianluca with the letter N in NONNO, symbolizing the extraordinary bond between grandfather and grandson. The design also pays tribute to Nicola’s lifelong passion for SSC Napoli, his favorite soccer club.
Growing up in Monte di Procida, a beautiful seaside town on the outskirts of Naples, Nicola became a devoted Napoli supporter at a young age. His love for the club became a cherished family tradition that he proudly passed on to his son, Vittorio, and his grandson, Gianluca.
Together, three generations shared countless unforgettable moments watching Napoli matches with fellow supporters from the Tifosi Napoli Club New Jersey. Through the 4 NONNO Campaign, we celebrate not only Nicola’s memory but also the enduring legacy of family and tradition.
In Nicola Aconi’s honor, we established the 4 NONNO Cancer Courage Scholarship Fund to recognize resilient students whose lives have been impacted by cancer. The scholarship supports students who have demonstrated extraordinary courage while pursuing their education, whether they are cancer survivors, currently undergoing treatment, or have an immediate family member who has faced a cancer diagnosis.
This scholarship celebrates students who have shown strength, perseverance, and determination despite the obstacles cancer has placed in their path. By investing in these remarkable individuals, we hope to empower the next generation of leaders, advocates, and changemakers who will positively impact their communities and inspire others through their resilience.
Through the 4 NONNO Campaign, we proudly honor Nicola’s legacy by transforming courage into opportunity—ensuring that his strength, compassion, and fighting spirit continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
