Full-time career. Dad. Family man. And at 38, still finding a way to prioritize his health.
Josh works full-time for and regularly travels for work, but even when he’s on the road, he finds a way to train.
🏃 Around 125 miles of running per month
💪 Personal training 1x/week with Coach Chris at Mid Valley Fitness
🔥 Mobility & stretching 3–4x/week
Josh has trained around a severe back injury dating back to 2014. In 2021, he was diagnosed with cancer. After treatment and a hospital stay, he also dealt with significant digestive issues after overcoming cancer.
Today, Josh is in remission, his nutrition has come a long way, and he credits much of his recent progress to working with Coach Chris and learning how to train smarter, not harder.
Josh isn’t slowing down either. He’s already got his next challenges lined up:
🏃 September 26: 50K race
💪 October: Steady, consistent training and preparation
🔥 November 28: 100K race in Austin, TX
He trains because he wants the people he loves to see that you can continue pushing yourself, regardless of what life throws at you.
Josh describes MVF better than we could:
“It’s not your traditional gym. It is a gym that cares about every member, their goals, and their personal limits. It’s structured to where you are at and where you can get to.”
You don’t need to run marathons.
You just need to be willing to start where YOU are.
🍝 Go-to meal: Protein pasta with chicken Alfredo *homemade.
