Sensei Barboza is a 4th degree black belt and has a university teaching credential in Shotokan karate from Long Island University, NY (1994). .htm). As a proud father of a wonderful son and daughter, and with over 40 years of Shotokan teaching experience, Sensei understands the needs and dreams of children. You will find that he is positive, sensitive and encouraging towards both children and adults, and he believes that when it comes to character and integrity, things are black and white (just like the traditional black belt's gi!). Honesty, respect for others, and humility are always taught in his Dojo. Sensei invites all who are interested in learning more about S.K.I. to observe his classes, held every Monday and Friday from 6-7 PM for children and 7-8 PM for adults.and children intermediums/advances.
