FINAL: MONONA GROVE 42, MILTON 7
Monona Grove wasted no time Friday night, exploding for 28 first-quarter points and rolling past Milton 42–7 to improve to 3–0.
Junior QB Jaxon Zukowski accounted for all six MG touchdowns, rushing for four TDs in the first quarter before throwing second-quarter scoring passes to Diego Adame and Nic Busalacchi. MG led 42–0 at halftime, putting the game on a running clock and allowing the starters to sit the entire second half.
The Silver Eagles’ defense was equally dominant early, forcing repeated Milton punts. Colten Jenkins, making his season debut, recovered a fumble, while Austin Donkersgoed made his season debut and recorded a pass breakup; other impact players who made their varsity starting debut included Lucas Jordan and D- Tackle and Evan Rosol at center on the O-Line.
Milton scored its lone touchdown in the second half, but the night belonged to MG from the opening drive.
